So you've made progress with creating your training content and would like to share this with some colleagues for feedback. What are the best ways to go about it? We recommend using course preview links

What are preview links?

Course preview links are designed to share for internal testing only. They do not create any course analytics, and can be shared with people irrespective of what user groups they have assigned.

When a user accessed a preview course they will be warned that the course is a preview (to help users differentiate between previews and live courses), see below for an example.

How do I create a preview link for a course?

1. Go to course editor page and press publish course

2. In the popup that appears select the preview tab

3. Press "Create preview"

4. After the preview link loads, click on the link to copy to the clipboard (you can then easily share this via email, WhatsApp or other communication channels with your colleagues)

Recommended tips on sharing with colleagues?

We find that most people share the course preview links via WhatsApp. If doing so here are a few quick tips for asking for feedback from colleagues

  • Ask for clear visual references - ask colleagues to share a screenshot with you via WhatsApp of the part of the training they suggest edits for reference

  • Ask for actionable feedback - if colleagues are suggesting text or images be changed, ask them to give specific suggestions on what the change should be

  • Request feedback be given by a deadline - ask that colleagues give you feedback by a specific deadline
